There are also personnel changes in the State Customs Service and the Ministry of Defence.

The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Yuriy Mironenko as the head of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, the government's representative in parliament, Taras Melnychuk, has announced.

The government also appointed Oleksandr Semyrha as the first deputy head of the State Customs Service and Vitaliy Polovenko as the deputy minister of defence.

According to the Ministry of Defence, Polovenko will focus on logistics.

Since 2019, he has been the head of the logistics department at the National Defence University of Ukraine. He is a combat veteran.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the appointment of Anton Chubenko as deputy head of the Poltava regional state administration, Volodymyr Kohut as deputy head of the Poltava regional state administration for digital development, digital transformation and digitalisation, and Ivan Vashchenko as deputy head of the Chernihiv regional state administration.

Last week, the former head of the State Service of Special Communications, Yuriy Shchyhol, was released from custody on bail.
