The Ukrainian Defence Ministry has clarified the words of its head Rustem Umerov regarding the fighting between the second and third lines of Russian defence.
In a post on Facebook, the ministry noted that the Defence Forces are engaged in combat operations between the 2nd and 3rd defence lines in some areas, which it did not disclose.
"The names of specific areas where this has been done and the stage of specific operations will be reported by the relevant units in accordance with communication guidelines," the Defence Ministry said.
Umerov is currently on a visit to the United States. On Fox News, he said that the Defence Forces have already overcome two of the three Russian defence lines and are now between the second and third lines. He also stressed several times that Ukraine has a military plan for 2024. The visit comes amid the critical need for Congress to pass additional support for Ukraine.
