President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has addressed the G7 leaders' online summit.

Zelenskyy thanked the partners for their support and expressed hope that Italy's presidency of the G7 after Japan would be fruitful for Ukraine.

The president stressed the importance of consolidating the democratic world. "As long as the Group of Seven is effective, human life will not lose," he added.

Zelenskyy noted the defeat of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea, which forced Russia to retreat. The president called for support for Ukraine in countering Russian attacks on the energy sector.

"This winter we have a chance to win the battle for energy... We are now strengthening our air defence, in particular with your support, and if we continue to do this, if we survive this winter in terms of energy, Russian terror will suffer one of the biggest failures," Zelenskyy said.

The president stressed that "Putin has not won a single operation this year".

"We are maintaining important footholds on several frontlines and preparing for the next steps, and long-range vehicles will help us in this and will be of great help," he said.

Zelenskyy noted the importance of continuing to support Ukraine.

"Russia hopes for only one thing - that next year the world's unity will collapse. Russia believes that America and Europe will show weakness and will not maintain their support for Ukraine at the proper level... We have to answer these questions. It is vital for the free world to maintain its consolidation. To maintain interaction. To maintain the support of the one whose freedom is being destroyed. I believe that together we are able to make the next year productive for us," Zelenskyy noted.
