President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has cancelled an online briefing for US senators, Yevropeyska Pravda reported, quoting the leader of the Democratic majority in the US Senate, Chuck Schumer.
During this briefing, Zelenskyy was supposed to talk about the situation at the front and Ukraine's needs for weapons.
"By the way, Zelenskyy could not join our briefing at 15:00 (22:00 Kyiv time) - something happened at the last minute," Schumer said.
He also stressed the need to support Ukraine, as "this is a turning point in Western civilisation" and the vote on aid to Ukraine cannot be postponed any longer.
Democratic Senator Mark Warner, who is aware of Ukraine's need for assistance requested by US President Joe Biden, is also scheduled to address the senators.
