President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Fedir Venislavskyy from his duties as Ukraine's presidential representative in the Verkhovna Rada. This is stated in a decree published on the president's website.
"To relieve Fedir Venislavskyy of his duties as the Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," the document says.
The reason for the dismissal is not specified. It is also not yet known whether Venislavsky will take up a new position.
What is known about Venislavskyy
- In 2014, Venislavskyy was a candidate for MP from the single-mandate majority constituency No. 23 (Volyn Region). He is a self-nominated candidate. He is non-partisan.
- In June 2019, he acted as the President's representative in the Constitutional Court in the trial on the constitutionality of the President's decree on the early termination of the Verkhovna Rada's powers. Member of the Legal Reform Commission since 7 August 2019.
- In the 2019 snap parliamentary elections, he was elected as a member of parliament from the Servant of the People party, being No. 88 on the list. He is non-partisan. Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence.
- 3 June 2019 - 12 September 2022 - representative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
- Since 12 September 2022, he has been the President's representative in the Rada.
