President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with his Romanian counterpart Klaus Iohannis.

The two leaders agreed to start consultations on bilateral security guarantees within the framework of the joint declaration of the Group of Seven and Ukraine adopted in Vilnius.

The Ukrainian president thanked Romania for supporting the decision to start negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU and for Bucharest's willingness to share its experience in European integration. At the same time, Johannis praised the legislation on national minorities adopted by our country.

The two leaders discussed bilateral defence cooperation, in particular, aspects of training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets.
