Bundestag member Marcus Faber said that the German defence company Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft is building an armoured vehicle repair centre in Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"In western Ukraine, FFG (Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft) is building a repair centre for armoured vehicles that need repair, such as Leopard 1, which it supplied," the Free Democratic Party politician wrote.

According to him, this means a huge increase in efficiency for Ukraine, as in the future there will be no need for expensive and time-consuming transport of damaged equipment abroad, and the military will be able to train its mechanics on site.

Faber has visited the site of the future centre and says that "German taxpayers' money is being used wisely". The liberal MP thanked FFG Ukraine for its understanding and meaningful work.
