Russia is currently trying to destroy Ukrainian infrastructure facilities.

"These are primarily the facilities of our defence industry, headquarters, command and control systems and individual units deployed on the front line," said Maj-Gen Vadym Skibitskyy, a representative of the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine

He also noted that the goals set by Russia are not being achieved, as the weapons it uses, including the Kinzhals, are very inaccurate. Therefore, it is mostly civilians who suffer from such attacks.

Skibitskyy pointed out that the fact that Russia does not strike at the energy sector does not mean that it does not monitor the state of the energy sector.

"The enemy continues to regularly carry out satellite imagery of our energy facilities in order to carry out such strikes if possible and if necessary. Therefore, the threat to our energy system remains," said Skibitskyy.

Military intelligence is aware that Russia has analysed the strikes on the Ukrainian energy system in 2022-2023 and identified the most critical facilities that could be hit by missile weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles.
