On the air of the news telethon, Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ihnat spoke about the details of training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets. In particular, he said that the pilots are flying with instructors.

The pilots are trained in the most confidential way possible and virtually no information is made public.

"There is a clear plan of action of the partners within our aviation coalition, which even includes countries that do not even have F-16s in service. But still, not only pilots but also other aviation specialists are being trained. The process is ongoing... You need to fly a certain number of hours," says Ihnat.

During the Christmas holidays, the pilots had some time off, but all of them have returned to work and continue their training in the airspace.

"I mean Denmark and the United States, where another group is being trained. Let's not forget about the UK," Ihnat said.
