The Sykhiv residential area in Lviv was left without hot water and heating as a result of a hacker attack on Lvivteploenergo. This is reported on the company's website.
"The hacker attack disrupted the heat supply management system. Work is underway to restore heating and hot water supply in the Sykhiv residential area. The estimated time of restoration is 21:00," the statement said.
The Lviv City Council reported that last night there was a failure in the Lvivteploenergo heating system, which resulted in the shutdown of 324 individual heating points in the Sykhiv residential area. So far, 175 of them have resumed operation and the company plans to fully restore heat and hot water supply by the end of the day.
About 100,000 people live in the Sykhiv residential area.
