SBU: Enemy sends emails to Ukrainians offering cooperation for reward

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has warned of a large-scale email campaign targeting Ukrainians, including representatives of government agencies and private companies.

According to the SBU website, the enemy is sending such emails from a large number of email accounts that were previously hacked by Russian hackers.

The mailing has all the hallmarks of a targeted information and psychological operation, the SBU said.

"The letters offer cooperation with Russian special services for a reward. In this way, the enemy is once again trying to destabilise the situation inside our country," the SBU said.

The SBU has already blocked some of the addresses from which the mailing is carried out and calls on Ukrainians not to respond to hostile messages.

The SBU noted that passing information about the Armed Forces, critical infrastructure facilities, and any other type of cooperation to the enemy is a criminal offence. Such crimes can also be classified as high treason.
