In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, Donetsk Region, the mortality rate from natural causes has increased eight times.

"It is an absolute victory for the medical system (no), which keeps mortality from natural causes at 300-400 people per week. This is 8 times higher than in January 2022," said Petro Andryushchenko, an advisor to the mayor.

He added that the Russians report a decrease in colds, but, according to the occupiers, there are more pneumonia and cases of COVID.

"The good news from the occupiers in Mariupol is as follows. There are fewer colds, but more pneumonia. Along with COVID," the adviser commented.

He also added that the occupiers are shifting the responsibility for the state of health to the residents.

"Mariupol residents are to blame again. Not the occupiers who are unable to provide human conditions, but the people. No comment," he wrote.

About 90,000 residents, most of whom are elderly people, remain in occupied Mariupol. However, the pseudo-mayor of Mariupol, Oleh Morgun, said that 240,000 people currently live in the occupied city.
