According to LRT, this is Landsbergis' eighth visit to Ukraine since the Russian invasion in February 2022.
The minister said that this year of war would be particularly important, as further Western support for Ukraine could determine the outcome of the war.
"Many experts recognise, and we in Lithuania say, that 2024 can be and will be extremely important for the course of the war in Ukraine," Landsbergis told Lithuanian journalists on the train to Kyiv.
During the visit, which will last several days, the minister will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, and other officials.
According to the Lithuanian foreign minister, the meeting will focus on "possible scenarios for this year and what we can do to help avoid some difficult scenarios for Ukraine".
He will also take part in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the EU Delegation to Ukraine (EUDEL) and the Lithuanian Central Project Management Agency (CPA) on cooperation in the implementation of an EU-funded project to build shelters in Ukrainian schools.
In addition, according to the newspaper, on Thursday, the minister will meet with Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Oleksiy Danilov.
