On the night of 25 January, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Russian city of Tuapse, Russian telegram channels report.

The information about the fire at the oil depot was also confirmed by the Operational Headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or injuries.

At the same time, the operational headquarters did not say what caused the fire.

Russian telegram channels report that the fire could have been caused by a drone attack, and that explosions were heard in the city before the fire, probably from air defence systems.

Local residents also reported flying several drones before and after the fire.

The head of the Tuapse district, Sergei Boyko, confirmed that a vacuum unit was on fire at the refinery. "I ask you to trust official sources of information and not to post videos from the site to avoid adverse consequences," he added.
