On the night of 20 February, the Russians fired at Ukraine with two S-300-S-400 guided missiles, an X-31 guided missile and 23 Shahed attack drones. All drones were shot down.
Russians attacked from both its own and occupied territory. The enemy launched the anti-aircraft missiles from Russia's Belgorod Region, the air-to-air missile from Zaporizhzhya Region, and the Shaheds from Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk, the Air Force said.
Anti-aircraft missile units, mobile firing groups and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
"As a result of combat operations, all 23 Shaheds were shot down within Kharkiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson and Mykolayiv Regions," the statement said.
