Russia reduced its aviation activity on the operational area of the Tavriya Operational and Strategic Group of Forces over the past day, conducting two air strikes. Its troops also carried out 1,040 artillery attacks, and 42 combat engagements took place.
In the Zaporizhzhya sector and Donetsk Region, the Russians resumed the use of poisonous substances: a total of four grenade attacks with a tear gas and suffocation chemical agent were recorded, according to Commander Oleksandr Tarnavskyy.
"In the Avdiyivka sector, the enemy is again attempting to attack with small assault groups. Our defenders repelled nine attacks near Lastochkyne, Severne, Pervomayske and Nevelske," he said.
In the Maryinka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the Russians near Heorhiyivka, Pobeda and Novomykhaylivka, where they repelled 21 attacks.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Russians made one attempt to advance in the vicinity of Staromayorske.
In the Zaporizhzhya sector, there were no significant changes either, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 11 attacks near Malynivka and Robotyne.
"The situation remains under control, Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line and are actively destroying the enemy," Tarnavskyy added.
