At night and in the morning, the Russians fired 8 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy Region, a total of 39 explosions were recorded. Bilopillya, Velyka Pysarivka, Novoslobidka, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
- In particular, Russians fired mortars (6 explosions) and artillery (6 explosions) at the Bilopillya community. They also fired from an infantry fighting vehicle (6 explosions).
- A mortar attack was recorded in Seredyna-Buda community (2 explosions).
- Russians fired at the Velyka Pysarivka community with artillery (8 explosions).
- The Shalyhyne community suffered from mines: 3 mines were dropped on the community's territory.
- Artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation (7 explosions) and a UAV air strike were recorded in the Nova Sloboda community.
Information about the consequences of the shelling and the victims is being clarified.
Later, Sumy RMA reported two dead.
"At 5 am, the enemy carried out an air and artillery strike on the Novoslobidka community of Konotop district. The shelling caused a fire in a residential building. The fire has been localised. The bodies of two victims were found," the statement said.
Debris removal and search operations are ongoing.
