Today, on 20 February, at 12.00, Ukrainian carriers started a peaceful protest at the Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne, Krakowiec-Korczova and Shehyni-Medyka checkpoints in response to the blockade of the checkpoints by Polish protesters.

"What the Poles are doing has already gone beyond any bounds. Today, we have the Association of International Road Carriers, the Ukrainian Transport Union, and the International Road Carriers of Ukraine. The essence of our action is to stop Polish cars that go around out of turn and make them stand here like ours do in Poland," said Oleh Dubyk, head of the NGO Ukrainian Transport Union in Lviv Region, reports Suspilne.

The drivers placed posters on the trucks with inscriptions in Ukrainian and English: "Lift the blockade - return Ukrainian drivers home", "Stop the blockade at the borders", "If Ukraine loses, Poland will lose", "The blockade of Ukraine is a betrayal of European values" and others.

It is noted that Polish trucks will be allowed to enter the territory of Ukraine with the same delay as the Poles allow Ukrainian trucks.

The article states that the peaceful action near the three international checkpoints of Rava-Ruska, Krakivets and Shehyni will last from 20 February to 15 March or until the borders are unblocked by Polish protesters.

"Either everyone stops or everyone goes. There can't be a situation where Ukrainian cars are stopped and Polish cars are allowed to move. We understand the situation with what they want. But all the demands of the Poles are either to the European Union or to their government, and there are no claims or demands to Ukraine, so this is a very strange situation. People are in a very strong mood, they will stand around the clock," said Volodymyr Mykhalevych, chairman of the NGO International Road Carriers of Ukraine.
