There are no Energoatom employees left at Zaporizhzhya NPP. The statement was made by the acting chairman of the board of the state-owned enterprise, Petro Kotin, as quoted by Ekonomichna Pravda.

"At the beginning of the year, 360 people worked at the plant and remained loyal to Ukraine. But the occupiers decided to deprive them of access to the facility.

As a result, the illegal so-called "management" of ZNPP currently has only eight shift supervisors, who are extremely important for the safety of the facility. 40 people with such qualifications managed to leave the occupied territory, while nine more refused to sign an employment contract with the Russians.

According to Kotin, Russian personnel are unable to ensure proper operation of the plant, as the power units at ZNPP have been modernised, so they are significantly different from those installed at facilities in Russia. In addition, the occupiers have recruited "people from the surrounding villages who do not understand what a nuclear power plant is".
