President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held meetings with the military to plan operations and defence.
He said this in his evening video address on 4 March.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyy and Chief of the General Staff Anatoliy Barhylevych reported on the situation at the front.
"Despite all the shortages, the ability of our soldiers to destroy the occupiers should not be reduced. The Commander-in-Chief regularly visits the frontline. Real combat commanders from the frontline and brigades are involved in the development of solutions. Today, I have agreed and signed a number of necessary new appointments for the Defence Forces," Zelenskyy said.
He discussed the supply of weapons and supplies to the brigades, as well as the situation with drones with Defence Minister Rustem Umerov. "We had a separate conversation about drones. Good content. In particular, about our long-range drones," the president added.
Following his conversation with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, Zelenskyy said that there would be a greater result "in the destruction of Russian military infrastructure and logistics".
The head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, reported on countering Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups and collaborators. And the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, reported on Russia's international efforts and plans. "We have an understanding of what documents are on the enemy's desk and what its next plan is. We will counteract it," he said.
