The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence reported that, tentatively, as a result of the attack on the Russian patrol ship, Sergey Kotov, in which it was destroyed, its crew suffered:
7 irretrievable losses;
6 sanitary losses.
Russians probably managed to evacuate 52 crew members who were on the ship.
"It seems that the rescued and dazed sailors of the Sergey Kotov will be harassed by Russian special services due to the loss of the ship," the GUR said.
This morning, the GUR confirmed the destruction of the Sergey Kotov. On the night of 4-5 March, a special unit of the GUR, Group 13, attacked the patrol ship. The mission was carried out jointly with the Ukrainian Navy and with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine using Magura V5 maritime drones.
On 25 July 2023, the Kotov was already attacked, but it was not sunk. It was also attacked in September by GUR specialists using Magura maritime drones.
