In Kherson Region, two local residents tripped a mine. One of them has died and the other was hospitalised.
According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, on 27 March, the incident occurred at around 19:00 near the river in the village of Chervonyy Mayak. The men were collecting firewood. One of them died on the spot as a result of the explosion. The second one was hospitalised.
"Under the procedural supervision of the Beryslav District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office said.
