Lithuania will purchase 3,000 Lithuanian drones for Ukraine and allocate €15 million for rehabilitation programmes for wounded Ukrainian soldiers. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal agreed on this with his Lithuanian counterpart Ingrida Šimonite during a visit to Vilnius.

Lithuania is also providing €35 million for a Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition.

In addition, Lithuania is actively involved in the reconstruction of Ukraine and will allocate another €5 million for education and €12 million to help veterans, rebuild schools and kindergartens, and arrange shelters.

"We highly appreciate Lithuania's readiness to participate in the implementation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula and its assistance in Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration," Denys Shmyhal wrote.

He also thanked Lithuania for its clear position on blocking exports of Russian and Belarusian agricultural products to the EU, as well as for its leadership on the sanctions track.

"Today, a new initiative was proposed - a ban on air transit to the Russian Federation and Belarus. This initiative is intended to limit the economic potential of the aggressor and increase sanctions pressure on the enemy," Shmyhal also said.

Meanwhile, Latvia will soon provide Ukraine with one million euros worth of drones. Latvia's total support for Ukraine this year will reach €850 million. In particular, the country is allocating funds for the Czech initiative, drones and military assistance packages.
