Persons liable for military service who have reached the age of 25 will be registered for military service. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
They reminded that the President signed a law that reduced the age of mobilisation from 27 to 25 years.
"The period of citizens' registration with the military conscription office until they reach the age of 27 has lost its relevance and has been reduced to 25 years. At the same time, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of 07.03.2024 No. 149/2924 "On the discharge of conscripts", in April-May, the Armed Forces, the State Special Transport Service and other military formations established in accordance with the laws of Ukraine will discharge conscripts into the reserve," the statement said.
The General Staff noted that citizens who have reached the age of 25 will be subject to deregistration from the military register of conscripts and registration of persons liable for military service.
"With the entry into force of the above-mentioned Law of Ukraine, territorial recruitment centres will call citizens who were registered as conscripts and have reached the age of 25 to clarify their credentials, undergo a medical examination and issue relevant military registration documents," the statement said.
The General Staff added that after signing the decree on the demobilisation of conscripts, about 7,000 people will be discharged into the reserve.
