The office of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), an international independent organisation that provides assistance to victims of armed conflict and disasters, was completely destroyed in a nighttime strike on Pokrovsk.
The destruction was reported by the organisation's press service. The doctors were not injured, but, as previously reported, five local residents were injured.
The organisation condemned the attack on the office, which provided emergency medical humanitarian aid to residents of the region. Médecins Sans Frontières calls for the protection of its facilities, as well as civilians, humanitarian and healthcare workers.
"The attack on our office is not an isolated incident. The destruction of civilian infrastructure has been a characteristic feature of this war for a long time," said Vincenzo Porpiglia, Emergency Coordinator of Médecins Sans Frontières in Ukraine.
