On the morning of 5 April, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck three military airfields in Russia during a joint operation. This was reported by Ukrayinska Pravda, citing a source in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
According to a source, three Tu-95MS strategic bombers were probably severely damaged at Engels-2 airfield.
"We are also aware of the death of seven servicemen at the airfield. Preliminarily, pilots of strategic bombers may also be among the dead," said the intel source.
In addition, Ukrainian defenders attacked a Russian military airfield in Yeysk. Preliminary, two Su-25s were completely destroyed and 4 Russian army servicemen were killed.
