President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has congratulated Ukrainians on Easter. In a video recorded from St Sophia Cathedral, where one of the exhibitions of Ukrainian artists dedicated to the war is currently on display.
"Easter symbolises the liberation of the human soul from slavery, evil and darkness. The victory of goodness and justice. The victory of life over death. We have been fighting for all this for 802 days in a row. 802 days when will confronts darkness. Valour counteracts terror. 802 days of our resistance," the President said in his video address.
"The Bible teaches us to love our neighbour. And today has shown us the true meaning of this word. When we all became each other's neighbours. And our former neighbour, who was always trying to be our brother, is far away for us forever. He broke all the commandments, demanded our home, came to kill us. The world sees it. God knows this. And we believe that God has a chevron with the Ukrainian flag on his shoulder. So with such an ally, life will definitely conquer death.
