On the night of 14 May, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 18 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs from Cape Chauda and one Iskander-M ballistic missile, also from occupied Crimea.
The defenders managed to shoot down all the UAVs launched. Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk reported this on Telegram.
"The attack was repelled by fighter aircraft and anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and electronic warfare units. As a result of the air battle, all 18 enemy Shaheds were shot down in Kyiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson and Khmelnytskyy Regions," he said.
