Czech President Petr Pavel has announced an imminent supply of ammunition to Ukraine. In particular, he is talking about the transfer of 50,000 rounds of ammunition this month and next month. This was reported by the Czech public broadcaster.
According to the Czech president, Ukraine is to receive 50,000 rounds of ammunition in July and August, and 80,000 to 100,000 per month from September to the end of the year.
Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský said in late June that the first batch of Czech ammunition had arrived in Ukraine. At the time, Defence Minister Jana Černochová clarified that it was 50,000 units of ammunition.
"The task is to supply 500,000 pieces of ammunition to Ukraine this year," the statement said.
