Energoatom has connected the thousandth power unit to the grid after scheduled repairs. The connection was made ahead of schedule, the company said.
The return of the power unit to normal operation is expected to significantly strengthen the grid. All other power units in the government-controlled area are operating as planned.
"To fulfil the task of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Energoatom connected another power unit to the grid ahead of schedule after nuclear fuel overload and scheduled equipment repairs," the statement said.
