The Russian occupation administrations have invented a new cynical way of forcing passports on the temporarily occupied territories.

This was reported by the National Resistance Centre.

In particular, in eastern Ukraine, Russians are threatening to take away housing from those Ukrainians who have debts for utilities but do not have a Russian passport.

"Moreover, even if the apartment has several owners and one of them does not have a passport, they threaten to take away his or her share in favour of the 'state'," the resistance writes.

In this way, the Russians are trying to accelerate the pace of forced passportisation, as most Ukrainians refuse to obtain Russian citizenship.
