Ukrainian intelligence has received information about North Korea's transfer of not only weapons but also people to Russia. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the presentation of the Victory Plan in the Verkhovna Rada.
It is about personnel for the Russian army and workers from the DPRK for Russian factories. The president did not disclose the number of personnel.
"In fact, this is the participation of the second state in the war against Ukraine on the side of Russia," the president said.
In addition, the Iranian regime is helping Putin, and China continues to cooperate with the Russians.
"Despite its statements, Beijing refrains from taking truly effective steps to stop Russia's aggression and violation of the UN Charter. And we have to be honest - Ukrainians and all our partners - if we do not step up now, Putin will have time to step up next year to put diplomacy on hold forever. Russia must lose the war against Ukraine. And this is not a 'freeze'," Zelenskyy stressed.
North Korea's participation in the war against Ukraine
- On 14 October, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that North Korea had actually joined the war against Ukraine.
- The next day, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Centre for Countering Disinformation, denied that Pyongyang would send 100,000 people to the Russian army. According to him, only less than one per cent of DPRK officers speak Russian.
- According to the head of the DIU, Kyrylo Budanov, Pyongyang poses the most problems for Ukraine among Moscow's allies. North Korea provides Russians with assistance incomparable to others, he said back in September.
