North Korea ‘joins’ war against Ukraine, Zelenskyy says

During his evening address, the President spoke about important areas in the fight against Russia.

During his evening address on 14 October, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff had discussed North Korea's ‘actual involvement’ in the war against Ukraine.

"I held a meeting. Several issues were discussed. Among the main ones was the report of the intelligence services - the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine - on the intentions of the Russians for autumn and winter. Everything is quite detailed. The actual involvement of North Korea in the war. It also includes Russia's relations with some other countries that, unfortunately, are investing in prolonging the war. Also, the foreign policy direction: our relations with partners and possible steps that can help us defend ourselves and achieve results despite everything," Zelenskyy said.

The President also heard a report from Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna on the negotiations in Washington and other capitals on the geopolitical clause of the Victory Plan.

"The military is working with our partners at their own levels on military checkpoints. This week, we will present to all partners in Europe our strategy for forcing Russia to a just end to this war. Of course, the Victory Plan will be presented publicly," the President added.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stresses that "Ukraine really needs maximum support".

The President also heard a report by Oleksandr Kamyshin on the domestic production and supply of drones to the army.

"As of today, there are already one million drones that have been purchased at public expense and delivered to the frontline. And this is only what the state is doing. There are also supplies from volunteers, from everyone who supports us. I would like to thank each and every one who makes our army technologically advanced: all Ukrainian manufacturers, our entire public sector, and all partners who invest in the production of drones in Ukraine. We will continue to increase this supply, and the most important thing is that technological development helps us save the lives of our soldiers," Zelenskyy said.
