On Monday morning, the Russians attacked Odesa Region with ballistic missiles. As of 12:50 a.m., one person was killed and eight wounded.
Port infrastructure was a key target. Two of the wounded are in serious condition, the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, said on Telegram.
"Doctors are providing all the necessary assistance. All the wounded and the dead are employees of the port infrastructure, citizens of Ukraine," he said.
Civilian vessels were damaged: NS Moon, flying the flag of Belize, and the Palau-flagged dry cargo vessel OPTIMA. Exactly a week ago, the OPTIMA was hit by ballistic missiles.
In addition, a grain warehouse was damaged.
"Once again, I ask you to respond promptly to air raid alerts and take cover!" the chief of administration said.
The Prosecutor General's Office clarified that the administrative building was also damaged.
Strikes on port infrastructure
- In October, the Russian army intensified attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure, including ships carrying grain for other countries.
- On 11 October, Russians killed four people with ballistic missiles and injured ten others.
- On 9 October, Russian troops attacked port infrastructure, damaging a Panamanian-flagged vessel. Nine people were killed. Two days earlier, Russians attacked a vessel flying the flag of Palau. A man was killed.
