European Council President Charles Michel has sent a letter to EU leaders ahead of the bloc's summit, in which he announced the topics of the event, reports Yevropeyska Pravda.
The summit will focus on the war in Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Victory Plan.
‘Ukraine will be the central topic of our discussions. We will hear from President Zelensky on his proposed Victory Plan and discuss the next steps to build consensus around a peace initiative based on the principles of the UN Charter and international law,’ Michel said in a letter.
The leaders of the bloc will also discuss financial support for Ukraine. In particular, the President of the European Council proposes to provide approximately €45 billion by the end of the year to support the military, budgetary and reconstruction needs of our country. Another issue is the intensification of efforts as winter approaches, as most of Ukraine's energy infrastructure has been destroyed.
Other topics of the summit include the situation in the Middle East, Moldova and Georgia, the competitiveness and economic stability of the European Union, and migration.
