The Russian army attacked Kramatorsk district of Donetsk Region with cluster munitions. The shelling killed a boy and injured his sister and grandfather.
This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
‘Under the procedural supervision of the Slavic District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched in criminal proceedings over a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),’ the statement said.
According to the investigation, on 20 November at 15:40, the Russian army struck, allegedly with Tornado-S MLRS, at the village of Pershamaryivka, Kramatorsk district. The cluster munitions hit a residential area, killing an 11-year-old boy in the yard of one of the houses.
His 12-year-old sister and 63-year-old grandfather sustained mine-blast traumas, wounds to the head, chest, arms and legs.
The injured were hospitalised and are being provided with qualified medical care.
The enemy attack also damaged residential buildings and vehicles.
