The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has stated that Russia is conducting an information and psychological attack on an alleged ‘particularly massive’ missile strike on Ukraine. This was reported by the DIU press service.

‘Messengers and social networks are allegedly spreading a message on behalf of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine about the threat of a ‘particularly massive’ missile and bomb attack on Ukrainian cities today. This message is a fake, it contains grammatical errors typical of Russian information and psychological operations,’ the statement said.

The agency urged citizens to trust information only from official resources and from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

‘The enemy, unable to subdue Ukrainians by force, resorts to measures of intimidation and psychological pressure on society. Please be vigilant and resilient. Do not ignore air raid warning signals - it is safer to wait in a shelter. However, we urge you not to succumb to panic,’ the DIU said.

It should be noted that the US Embassy and a number of other countries have warned their citizens in Ukraine of a possible major air attack today. These diplomatic institutions will be closed today.
