On the night of 31 December, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine using 61 air means. This was reported by the Air Force.
Russians launched at Ukrainian cities and villages:
- 6 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh Region;
- 1 X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile from a MiG-31K fighter jet from the airspace of Tula Region;
- 6 X-69 guided missiles from tactical aircraft from the airspace of Belgorod Region;
- 8 X-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft from the airspace of Tula Region;
- 40 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and other types of imitator drones from the directions of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Bryansk, Millerovo (Russia).
As a result of combat operations, units of anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces shot down
- 1 X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile;
- 5 X-69 guided missiles;
- 16 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and another 24 imitator drones of various types were lost locally (without negative consequences).
As a result of the Russian attack, there were ballistic missile hits in Sumy and Kyiv Regions.
Despite the New Year's mood, the military urges citizens not to ignore the air raid alert.
- Since the night before, the Russian army has conducted several waves of air attacks, including targeting Kyiv. The Russians launched ballistic and other missiles, as well as drones. In Kyiv, debris fell in the Darnytskyy district. A private house was damaged in the region and a woman was injured.
