Ukraine is looking forward to restoring diplomatic relations with Syria, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said during his first trip to Syria in many years.
Ukraine is also ready to educate Syrian students and looks forward to political dialogue. The country is already helping Syria with humanitarian aid: 500 tonnes of Ukrainian flour will arrive tomorrow.
"The first visit of an official delegation of Ukraine to Syria in many years demonstrates our readiness to open a new page in bilateral relations between the two countries. The elimination of the Russian presence in Syria will contribute to the stability of not only the Syrian state, but the entire Middle East and Africa. Even if it takes some time.
