According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyy, Ukraine has completed all necessary preparations for the second Peace Summit, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.
“You can see for yourself that historical, tectonic processes are unfolding now. A new administration [in the US] is coming, as well as in European countries. The Peace Formula remains the foundation of a just resolution to the war, and this is unchanged,” Tykhyy said during a press conference in response to a question about whether Kyiv would present a peace plan before the summit.
The spokesperson added that Ukraine has organised all thematic conferences to align common positions for the summit.
“Ukraine is now in a strong diplomatic position, as everything is ready. But of course, for this summit to be effective, further preparation is necessary. The dates that were announced were provisional,” Tykhyy added.
Tykhyy emphasised that Kyiv is eager to move forward quickly but prioritises achieving concrete results over hosting “an event for the sake of an event.”
“All options remain open, and the work continues,” he concluded.
- This autumn, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy conducted a series of international visits to present his five-point victory plan to partners, alongside classified annexes. Although the second Peace Summit was initially scheduled for November, the Presidential Administration later clarified that the event would not occur during that time. A final date will be announced later.
- In early December, President Zelenskyy noted that former US President Donald Trump and his team were reviewing Ukraine’s Victory Plan. The Ukrainian side is eager to provide detailed explanations, with Zelenskyy emphasising there will be no concessions or surrender.
