The United States and the World Bank have provided $485 million to Ukraine as part of the PEACE in Ukraine project.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"Ukraine has received $485 million from the United States and the World Bank under the PEACE in Ukraine project. Of this amount, $465 million was provided by the United States through USAID. Another $20 million came from the World Bank," the statement said.

According to the head of government, the funds raised will be used to compensate for social and humanitarian expenditures of the state budget.

"We are grateful to the United States, USAID and the World Bank for their significant support of Ukrainians," the Prime Minister said.

  • The Ukrainian government has allocated more than UAH 10 billion to strengthen the protection of the energy system. To minimise damage, the government is implementing projects to build protection systems around power facilities.
