Volodymyr Zelenskyy got into a dispute with US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.

Vance said that our country has a problem with the number of military personnel, stated that the United States is trying to resolve the war through diplomacy and negotiations, and then accused the Ukrainian president of attacking the US administration and accusing them of ‘destroying Ukraine’ during the war. Before that, Zelenskyy mentioned that Russian dictator Putin had violated previous agreements with other states, so what kind of diplomacy could we talk about now.

Zelenskyy noted that ‘everyone has problems, even you, but you have not felt it yet, but in the future you will feel it’.

‘Don't tell us what we should feel. You have no right to do that. You have no right to dictate how we should feel. We feel great. We are going to be fine. We are powerful. You are not in a very good position right now,’ Trump said.

The US president said that ‘you don't have any cards in your hand right now’ and accused Zelenskyy of ‘playing cards with World War III’. Trump also said that ‘you have a very small chance’, commenting on the situation with the war.

He spoke again about the $350 billion in US aid to Ukraine and added that if the US had not provided weapons, the war would have ended in two weeks. Zelenskyy replied that he had heard Putin say the same thing, but it was about three days.

Trump insists that Ukraine should stop the fighting because it does not have the resources to do so without US support. He said that Russia did not respect Obama and Biden, but respects him.

‘I don't think you (to Zelenskyy - Ed.) would be a tough guy without the United States. And your people are very brave. But either you make a deal, or we wash our hands of you, and if we wash our hands of you, you'll fight on your own... I don't think it will be pleasant, but you will fight. But you don't have the cards, but once we sign this deal, you'll be in a much better position, but you're not at all grateful, and that's not good of you,’ Trump said at the end, and said it would be “a great TV show”, referring to the spat in the presence of the media.

Throughout the conversation with the Ukrainian president, not a single accusation was made by the US leaders against Russia.
