US President Donald Trump has extended the sanctions imposed by the United States against Russia for a year.
This is stated in the text of the presidential document, which appeared on the website of the US Federal Register.
The document will come into force on 28 February this year.
Trump thus extended the executive order of 6 March 2014 - on that day, the Supreme Council of Crimea decided to incorporate the autonomy into Russia.
- On 26 February, Trump said that the United States was not lifting any sanctions against Russia. At a briefing at the White House, he noted that it might happen at some point, but not now.
