Scott Bessent, Treasury Secretary in Donald Trump’s administration, stated that the framework agreement on minerals between the United States and Ukraine is “ready on paper.”
According to Suspilne, he said on US television that the agreement covers “minerals, oil, gas, and infrastructure assets.” Bessent described the deal as “mutually beneficial” and as one that “brings the Ukrainian people and the American business community closer together.”
The US Treasury Secretary announced the signing of the document on Friday, 28 February, during a meeting in Washington between Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
