The Ukrainian budget has now received $400 million of the next tranche of the International Monetary Fund, the Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has reported.
These are funds that the state received after the successful seventh review of the EFF programme (Extended Fund Facility). The total IMF support under this initiative has reached more than $10 billion.
"We thank the Fund for its assistance and close cooperation, which supports the Ukrainian economy during the war," the Prime Minister wrote on Telegram.
- On 28 March, the IMF Executive Board approved the seventh review of the EFF programme, which meant that a new tranche of $400 million was approved.
- The review was agreed upon a month earlier, on 28 February. The total amount of the programme is USD 15.6 billion.
