Chinese national prisoners of war Zhang Renbo and Wang Guangjun claim that they have never killed Ukrainians at the front, and that they saw the first Ukrainian soldier when they surrendered.
They told this at a press conference at Ukrinform in Kyiv.
‘No, I didn't... A month at the training ground, three days on the front line and then I was captured,’ Wang Guangjun said about whether he had to kill Ukrainian soldiers.
When asked by the journalist what they knew about Ukraine, they replied that ‘there are many good guys and girls in Ukraine’. One prisoner also said that ‘China imports grain from Ukraine, but imports have decreased since the war started.
Earlier, Zhang Renbo and Wang Guangjun said they were satisfied with Ukraine's attitude and that they had tasted food from McDonald's.
