Volodymyr Yatsenko, a veteran of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a film producer, has received one of France's highest cultural honours, the Order of Arts and Letters. The award ceremony took place at the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, which will run until 24 May. The award is presented for special services in the field of culture and for contribution to the dissemination of art and literature in France and the world. The order has three degrees: knight, officer and commander.
Volodymyr Yatsenko is one of the key Ukrainian producers, known for his films You Are Space, Wild Field, Home, Atlantis, Luxembourg, Luxembourg and others. This year, he was nominated by the Ukrainian Institute and became an invited participant of the ProducersOnTheMove programme by the European Film Promotion.
