Ukrainian soloist of Nova Opera and resident artist of The Metropolitan Opera, Andriy Koshman, will give a concert in Denmark dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day. The event will focus on affirming independence and highlighting Ukraine’s indomitable path since 1991. It is organised by the Ukrainian House in Denmark in cooperation with Nielsen Saloner.

The programme will feature works by contemporary Ukrainian composers Valentyn Silvestrov, Serhiy Zazhitko, Viktoriya Polyova, as well as the younger generation of Roman Hryhoriv, Andriy Merkel, Yana Shlyabanska and Serhiy Vilka. The Ukrainian repertoire will be complemented by works by Danish composers Per Nørgård and Carl Nielsen, underscoring the cultural ties between Ukraine and Denmark.
Before the concert, at 11:00, there will be a special tour of the Ukrainian House. Visitors will be able to view the new exhibition Uncurtained: Ukrainian Art in Danish Collections 1989–2023, with curator Kateryna Stukalova sharing behind-the-scenes stories about the works and their authors. Natalia Popovych, head of the Ukrainian House in Denmark, will also speak about upcoming projects and cultural collaborations.
