President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Saudi Arabia, where he is set to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
This was reported on Zelenskyy’s Telegram channel.
The leaders will discuss co-operation in security, energy and infrastructure.
“It is important that the strengthening is mutual. I value meaningful co-operation between our countries,” the president stressed.
He also recalled that financial guarantees for Ukraine’s resilience were secured during yesterday’s meeting with European leaders.
- Zelenskyy last visited Saudi Arabia in March. At that time, representatives of the Ukrainian and Saudi defence ministries signed a defence co-operation agreement. The document lays the groundwork for future contracts, technological co-operation and investment, while also strengthening Ukraine’s international role as a security contributor.
- At the same time, Ukraine began initial steps to implement “drone deals” with the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
