President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s Defence Forces carried out strikes on Russian oil infrastructure facilities and military targets in the Black Sea.

Ukrainian forces hit targets at a distance of more than 1,300 kilometres from the front line. In particular, in Bashkortostan the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery was struck, and in Yaroslavl Region the Slavneft-YANOS refinery, located nearly 700 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, was hit.
The Defence Forces also carried out successful strikes on Russian targets in the waters of the Black Sea. Two military patrol boats and vessels of the so-called shadow fleet were hit.
“Our long-range sanctions have once again worked to limit Russia’s oil profits, which it uses to finance the war and the killing of Ukrainians,” the president said.
Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian service members for developing long-range capabilities and stressed that such operations increase the chances of a diplomatic settlement.
